- Do I have to have removable covers to order from Cover My Furniture?
Copy covers are what we are all about and by using your existing covers we are able to create a great new look for your furniture. However, we know not everybody has removable covers on their furniture. If you have fixed upholstery on your sofa or chairs, we would encourage you to contact us through this handy form and tell us a bit more about your furniture. We will do our best to come up with a solution.
- Why should I order from Cover My Furniture?
If you have quality loose or removable cover furniture, usually it is the covers that start you thinking about a new sofa, either because they are looking worn or tired or because they just don’t match your interiors anymore. By ordering replacement sofa and chair covers with the same quality fit, you can keep the furniture you love and restore that new sofa feeling. Plus keeping your furniture out of landfill is great for the environment too! We want everyone to relove their furniture!
All our furniture covers are custom made just for you, by our team of experts in our Lancashire factory. Our great grandparents started selling sofa covers back in the 50s, so there isn’t much we haven’t come across. With over 60 years in the furniture industry we know our team are some of the best in the business.
- What if my current covers don’t fit?
Unfortunately we won’t be able to copy your covers as we specialise in replicating the covers you already have. However, we may still be able to help as our sister company, Plumbs, offer an in home measurement and reupholstery service. Get in touch with us and we can discuss all your options.
- What brands can you cover?
We are pleased to say we can copy covers for all brands of furniture in practically every style! But some of the big names we come across are Multiyork, Collins and Hayes, Parker Knoll, Laura Ashley, Plumbs, Marks and Spencer, G Plan, John Lewis, Duresta, the list goes on and on. - What do you do with my old covers?
Firstly, our expert pattern makers use your old covers to make a template to begin the transformation process. We use these covers throughout their manufacturing journey to make sure your new covers will fit in the same style as you have come to expect. Once we have posted out your brand new covers we store your old covers for a short time, just in case there are any minor adjustments needed. But once we know you’re happy with the fit we put them through our recycling process, and last year we recycled over 99% of our waste, old covers included! And we are pretty proud of that.
However, we know that not everybody wants us to recycle their old covers and some of our customers do want their old covers back. If this is the case we charge a small fee to resew, package up and post these back to you, which you can add into your basket when placing your order. Fabrics
- How do I choose the fabric for me?
We like to think we have something for everybody in our range, from fabulous cottons to velvets in a huge variety of shades, neutral or rainbow – the choice is yours! Plus, with our free fabric sample service you can order 5 free swatches to see them in your home to help you decide. All our fabrics are washable so ideal for everyday life and are hard wearing too. If you do need a bit of extra protection we also have a range of Aquaclean fabrics.
- Are your fabrics washable?
The great joy of having removable sofa and chair covers is that they can go in the washing machine. All the fabrics in our range are machine washable, you just need to check the label for any individual instructions but most like a 30 degree wash with a liquid non bio detergent.
- Can I order large size samples?
We happily send out sample swatches in all of our fabrics free of charge. However, if you want to see a larger sample, we recommend that you buy a metre of your chosen fabric from here.
- What is Aquaclean?
Aquaclean is a revolutionary fabric treatment that allows you to clean stains using water only. It is also washable and has a SAFE FRONT® component that protects against viruses and bacteria, reducing their activity. Read more about Aquaclean here.
- There isn’t anything in the range I like.
We like to think we have something for everybody. However, if there isn’t anything that takes your fancy get in touch with us and we can see what we can do. We have access to lots of fabric houses so we may be able to create a one off order just for you.

- What brands can you cover?

- Can you cover conservatory furniture?
Absolutely! Just visit our Cushion Covers page for all our info on our conservatory, orangery or outside furniture cushion service. If you get in touch using our handy form or send an email to hello@covermyfurniture.com we can come up with a solution.
- What about corner sofas?
We currently don’t offer our copy cover service for all corner sofas, but we are able to offer a select number of styles. If you email us a picture of your sofa to hello@covermyfurniture.com we can let you know.
- What about dining chair covers?
Yes, we can happily produce covers for dining chairs, we can even make covers for your fixed upholstery chairs too. Just get in touch using this handy form or send us an email to hello@covermyfurniture.com and we can come up with a solution.
Orders
- How do I place an order?
The easiest way to order is online through our website. You just need to visit our product pages. However, we know that sometimes it is easier to just pick up the phone and speak to someone. We can help you order over the phone if needed and can take your payment over our secure payment line. Just give us a ring on 01772 901507.
- How do I know the size of my sofa?
Generally small sofas are 2 seaters, large sofas are 3 seaters and extra large sofas are those that seat 4 or more! We class extra large sofas as those that are over 165 cm or 65 inches between the arms. Get in touch if you’re unsure about your sizing and we would be happy to help.
- How do I take the photos you need?
We just need 3 quick snaps of each piece of furniture we are making a cover for, one of the front, back and side. This can easily be done with your phone or tablet and uploaded straight to our website. You could also use your digital camera, and we are happy to receive photos via email too (orders@covermyfurniture.com). When you place an order we send you our handy guide on how to take the pictures we need.
- How do I upload the photos of my furniture?
Your photos can be uploaded into your account that you created when you placed your order. All the instructions on how to upload your pictures are here in this handy guide. If you’re struggling give us a ring on 01772 901507 or drop us an email to orders@covermyfurniture.com.
- How do I measure my furniture?
The measures we need are quick and simple and we send full instructions to you in the post. They help our expert team ensure your new covers fit beautifully. Make sure you include your measures when you return your covers to us! If you need help, or are in need of a tape measure, get in touch with our team on 01772 901507 and we can talk you through it.
- What forms of payment do you take?
We are able to all major credit and debit cards, with the exception of American Express.
- Can I track my order?
Yes, you can track your order through your account created when you placed your order. This is the same place you upload your photos to.
- I’ve placed my order and want to change it.
Depending on where your order is in the production process we will do our best to accommodate any changes. If we haven’t started cutting your fabric we are happy to change the fabric or colour, or add contrast piping, we can also add any additional cushion infills or accessories to your order too. Just email us on orders@covermyfurniture.com or give us a ring on 01772 901507.
- You couldn’t copy my covers, how long will my refund take?
Once we have reviewed your pictures we will instantly know if we are unable to copy your covers. We will process your refund straight away and it should be back in your account within 3-5 days.
- The order I’ve received isn’t what I was expecting.

- How do I fit my covers?
Fitting new covers can be tough work – especially when they’re designed with a professional fit – but with our step-by- step guide, you can take the hard work away and be a furniture fitting expert. When we deliver your new covers we will send you an instruction booklet on how to get those covers fitting perfectly.
- My new foams feel very firm.
New foams can feel firm, especially if your previous cushion infills had seen better days – the comparison can feel significant! However, they can lose up to 20% of their original firmness within the first few weeks of use, it is quite normal and doesn’t effect their long term comfort. If you do have any concerns please drop us an email to orders@covermyfurniture.com.
- Can I have my covers contrast piped?
This is something we can easily do. Once you’ve placed your order just send an email to orders@covermyfurniture.com and we can get this sorted out in the colour of your choice.
Delivery
- How long will my covers take to arrive?
After we have received your old covers your new ones will be out the door in just 28 days. Visit our delivery and returns page for more info.
- Can I change where I want my order sent to?
Of course, if your order hasn’t left our factory we can easily change this for you. Just send us an email to orders@covermyfurniture.com and we can update this for you.
We have a fabulous network all over the country (and world!) of UPS drop off points. If you would rather collect your parcel from there, than waiting in at home, we will be happy to arrange this for you. If you want to view your local drop off points just visit ups.com
- Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, using our preferred postage partner we can reach most places but you will need to contact us for us to confirm the shipping costs. If you are outside the UK we still require you to send your original covers to us for copying, and this service is unfortunately not included with your order. We cannot accept the risk of your existing covers when they are in transit to us. You may wish to obtain and pay for insurance and carriage yourself.

- Will I be charged customs charges and how much will these be?
If you are outside the UK, it is your responsibility to comply with any local laws and customs charges that may be applicable. If you need further clarification based on your location please email us at hello@covermyfurniture.com or complete our handy form and we will try to help out.
- My order has been dispatched but hasn’t arrived?
You will be able to track your parcel using unique tracking number which we will have sent you in the email confirming the parcel has left our factory. If you have any questions get in touch on orders@covermyfurniture.com, but please be assured our parcels come pretty quickly!

- What is your returns policy?

- How do I care for my covers?
When we supply your covers they come with a full guide on how to properly care for them. Please do read this information and keep it safe.
- How long is the guarantee for?
We offer a standard 3 year quality guarantee on all our fabric and workmanship, as well we 12 months for all our cushion infills. We are proud of the high quality and service we offer and want our covers to last for many years to come. All our fabrics have passed stringent abrasion tests and are suited to general domestic use.
All our fabrics conform to BS 5852 Part 1 and with the latest Consumer Protection Act for Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988.
